DUROX Srl Anodizing

Durox Srl is based in Remanzacco in the province of Udine in the north of Italy. Established in 1973, Durox was one of the very first Italian companies to offer aluminium hard anodizing treatments.

The company carries out clear and hard anodizing treatments on high precision machined parts, including very large components. It has also developed an innovative OX-W hard anodizing process that improves corrosion resistance, reduces finished roughness and makes it possible to reach higher deposition thicknesses on alloys with high contents of silicon and copper. Durox also performs coloured titanium anodizing treatment to create a nanometric film of titanium oxide with properties of anti-galling and surface colouration.

Durox has three hard anodizing plants and, thanks to a state-of-the-art plant that is the only one of its kind in Italy, it can supply hard anodizing of large parts of up to 7.5 meters in length. The company operates with the industrial machinery, packaging, plastic forming, textiles, maritime, and automotive sectors.

Micron Coatings joined the group in 2000, completing the range of aluminium surface treatments on offer. Micron’s surface characterization lab is at the complete disposal of Durox’s customers for checks and tests, R&D activities, and failure analysis. Moreover, the wide distribution of the company’s sites allows customers to deliver their parts to the nearest site for treatment.

Durox has an ISO 9001 certified quality management system and is on course to secure IATF 16949 certification.
