The primary aim of the Research and Control Center is to find the best answers to the most disparate requirements concerning the resistance of mechanical components to wear and corrosion.
The equipment of a sophisticated laboratory capable of investigating surfaces at nanometric level enables us to carry out in-depth production controls in order to ensure the very best quality.
Because surface treatment is an important part of the global quality of the machinery and pieces to which it is applied; we are able to analyse failures by investigating materials, machining operations and treatments to find the most suitable response to specific requirements.

Tests and controls

Our laboratories are endowed with the very best equipment to carry out a complete range of tests and controls.
The surface analyses and chemical and tribological tests we perform are the following:

  • Measurement of Vickers microhardness

  • Salt spray corrosion resistance test
  • Taber Abraser test for measuring the wear resistance
  • Measurement of friction coefficient with Pin-on-disk
  • Scanning electron microscope surface tests
  • Composition testing and mapping with EDX
